Q1) Determine the values of k for which the system of equations have infinite
4x + y = 3, 8x + 2y = 5k  (Marks 2)

Q3) If and are the roots of the equation x2 - px + q = 0, find the value of 2 + 2(Marks 2)

Q7) Evaluate : tan 35o/cot 55o + cot 78o/tan 12o - 1  (Marks 2)

Q13) In Fig. 2, AD is the bisector of A. If BD = 4 cm, DC = 3 cm and AB = 6 cm, determine AC. (Marks 2)

Q17) How many spherical lead shots each 4.2 cm in diameter can be obtained from a rectangular solid of lead with dimensions 66 cm, 42 cm, 21 cm. (Use = 22/7)  (Marks 4)

Q21) A father is three times as old as his son. In 12 years time, he will be twice as old as his son. Find the present ages of father and the son.  (Marks 4)
