Subjects for Examination: Preliminary examination is conducted for selection of candidates for the Main Examination.
Preliminary Exam:

· one optional paper.
Main Exam: Compulsory:
· Hindi Composition (General Hindi &Essay)
· General Knowledge
· Elementary Mathematics (For the posts of Excise Inspector, Naib Tehsildar, Lekha Parikshak only).
Optional: Candidates for the post of Entertainment Tax Inspector must select only one subject from Group `X'. For the rest of the posts, candidates must select any two optional subjects from Group X and Group Y.
