Qualifications: Intermediate or equivalent with two or more of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology. Science graduates preferred. Desirable: knowledge of Bengali.

Age: 18-33 years. Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and upto 37 years for Ex-Servicemen.

Subjects for Examination: Compulsory: 

· General Knowledge (2 papers) 
· Mathematics (2 papers) 
· English (2 papers).

Optional: Any one of the following subjects: 

1. Physics 
2. Chemistry 
3. Botany 
4. Zoology 
5. Geology 
6. Mathematics.
