Qualifications: Class I: BE (Civil)/ME (Civil) with 60% marks. Class II: BE (Civil) (II div).

Age: 21-28 years. 

Subjects for Examination: Compulsory: 

· Gujarati 
· English 
· General Knowledge 
· Applied Mechanics 
· Construction.

Optional: Any four of the following subjects: 

1. Fluid Mechanics 
2. Structural Design 
3. Public Health Engineering 
4. Transportation Engineering 
5. Soil and Foundation Engineering 
6. Irrigation and Storage 
7. Surveying.

Written examination is followed by Viva-Voce and Personality Test for the successful candidates.
