RECRUITMENT OF SUB-INSPECTORS OF POLICE IN CENTRAL POLICE ORGANISATIONS
 

This examination is held every year for recruitment to the following posts:

1. Sub-Inspectors/Platoon Commanders in Border Security Force
2. Sub-Inspectors in Indo-Tibetan Border Police
3. Sub-Inspectors in Central Reserve Police Force
4. Sub-Inspectors in Central Industrial Security Force. 

The examination is held generally in the month of May. Blank application forms and other particulars are published in the Employment News, usually in the month of January. The last date for submission of forms is usually first week of May.

Initial Pay: 


About Rs. 6000 in the scale of 5500-175-9000.

Age: 


20-25 years as on lst January of the year of examination. Upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and such other categories of persons as may from time to time be notified in this behalf by the Government of India to the extent and subject to the conditions notified in respect of each category.

Educational Qualifications: 


Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

Plan of the Examination: 


1. The examination comprises two parts:
2. Written Test carrying 500 marks.

Interview or Personality Test for such candidates as may qualify in the written test. The personality test would carry a minimum 100 marks for all posts.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination shall be required to undergo the Personality Test, Physical Efficiency Tests (including vision tests).

Examination Subjects: 


The subjects of the examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks for each subject will be as under:

(a) General Intelligence and Reasoning 400 2 hours
(b) General Awareness 400 2 hours 
(c) Numerical Ability 400 2 hours

Paper II ENGLISH LANGUAGE


(a) Language Comprehension 100 1 hour
(b) Communication Writing Skill 100 1 hour

The questions in all the three parts of Paper I will be objective-cum-multiple choice type.
